Valencia

The course took place in two one-week cycles and focused on the innovative use of tablets, educational applications and social media in teaching. The aim of the course was to connect modern technology with teaching and to use apps such as Miro, GooseChase and Ed Ted to enrich the learning process.
The first week focused on one app each day, which we were first introduced to and then had time to explore on our own. At the end of the day we were always tasked with preparing and presenting how we would use a particular app ourselves, i.e. basically we could elaborate on our own learning topics from the perspective of the new apps. It was amazing to see how effectively digital tools can be integrated into teaching. Sharing our ideas and different ways to use specific apps created a very inspiring environment.
The second week was more on the theoretical level, where we were introduced to the rules for using different apps, but even then we were introduced to some tools to use in the classroom, such as Trello, flipgrid, etc.
Using these applications, the course became a dynamic and interactive environment where we not only gained new skills, but also developed creativity and actively participated in our own learning. Miro, as a collaborative tool, allowed us to visualize and share ideas in real time. GooseChase introduced us to the concept of play in learning, as we explored the city and solved course-related challenges through this mobile "hunting" experience. The Ed Ted app was used for presentations and sharing ideas in group projects. We also used apps such as Kahoot, Canva, Learningapps and others.
The Erasmus programme in Valencia was an unforgettable experience that not only broadened my knowledge of learning apps, but also introduced me to a new perspective on modern education. I hope to make full use of this experience in my teaching in the future. Although there are challenges associated with new technologies, working with new applications has provided me with the opportunity to develop teamwork and problem solving skills. Last but not least, I must also mention the contribution of this programme to broadening my horizons in the field of education in countries around the world, while sharing ideas and approaches to teaching with other course participants.

My tips
what I take away from the course
1
Miro
Miro excels at providing an extensive set of tools for brainstorming, planning and visualizing ideas. The platform offers a wide range of templates, ideal for creating virtual mind maps and encouraging creative thinking. Students can visualize ideas, concepts, and relationships between information, increasing comprehension and memory.
2
Learning apps
This app stands out for its simplicity and accessibility. The user can use a wide range of pre-made templates and activities for different subjects and levels, but it is also easy to create your own quizzes, puzzles, interactive overviews and other activities without the need for advanced technical skills. This app focuses on interactivity, which increases the level of engagement and understanding.
3
GooseChase
The GooseChase app allows you to bring an innovative approach to learning through virtual games and activities to make it more fun, excels at creating "treasure hunter" games and provides students with opportunities for teamwork. Teachers can easily create varied and interesting tasks that promote different skills.
